Monitor Shutting Down When Playing

I have this problem with my video card, Long ago I play Hitman Contracts on my computer and I can play it very fine. I uninstall it. Then After months, I reinstall it because I want to play again, then when I played it , after loading to game, My monitor shuts down,NO signal. But there is game sound,I alt+tab it then my monitor turn on again. I have an old video card Radeon 9200 128mb.
Then I also install this Heros IV long ago and I cant play it because it has scan lines like ,I dont know what it is called with that graphics error then I uninstall it, then Install it a after few months again I install it then Its graphics is very ok2, no scanline2 thing. I encounter this on some games, What wrong with this ? Is there any configuration about this? What's the solution excluding buying of a new video card?

possibly your drivers aren't installed correctly for your video card or your monitor, try updating your drivers for both if possible, because your graphics card might be trying to use resolutions not compatible with your monitor.

ok2. But what I do is I just my hertz to 75 then it is not turning off again. Is this right?

Wht resolution is the game and your desktop running at?

1024x768 and in the game sometime only 800x600.
I can play now but the problem is the guns position, it will not be on my hand but it will float on my left side.

Well that new problem sounds like the game didn't install correctly. Reinstall the game. Also try downloading all official patches for the game.
