Monitor Question II.

Non Linux related this time.

With my new 22 inch widescreen monitor, is there anything I should tweak? I've never had an LCD, so I'm not sure if there's additional settings I should mess with. Just set the resolution and be done with it?

Also - Dumb question, but, a sincere one. I always hear that it's best to run a monitor at it's native resolution. Why? Does that mean if I run this monitor at 800x600 (native is 1680x1050) that it'll have hardware issues down the line?

no, native means that on the monitor itself there is 1680*1050 pixels on it, but your feeding it 800*600 so it stretches. native resolution provides the clearest picture and best quality.
