Monitor - Power save mode stuck

Ok, so... I turn on my computer (dell) and it's just a black screen. I press one of the buttons on the monitor and it says power save mode, click or press any key to exit, which doesn't work. But... i can unplug my monitor from my graphics card, take the graphics card out, and plug in the monitor to the basic input on the pc or wut ever, and it works. But I need it to be running with my video card, can any one help me out with some possible problems or solutions.

check bios to ensure it is set up to use the graphics card.

try gpu in another computer. try another gpu in your computer to determine if the one you have is dead or a problem with the motherboard.

Sometimes the power settings get goofed up, try re-installing the drivers for the video card. Get the latest drivers from the manufactures website.
