Monitor goes out

For some reason when i watch short videos my monitor loses signal. I can watch about 2-3 different videos and than the monitor says "No Signal Detected" I have tried different monitors and no luck. When I play games like Oblivion I have no problem. Only videos. I tired different video players and same thing. Any help please, Thanks

Edit:I can here the sounds from the video through the speakers when i monitor is out. So I know windows did not crash.

Anyone got any ideas???

Well seeing as games work i'm assuming most of your full screen apps will. Whenever you play videos are you just using one player or what. We need to know what you are running these videos on when this is occuring. Also what is it you have to do after these occurances to get a picture back to the monitor. My guess if your just using one program to watch these vids its a problem with the program itself. If it was the monitor or another hardware issue you whouldnt be able to play games like you can right now!!!

The players I have tried to use where Windows Media Player 11, quicktime, zplayer. Once the screen goes out, I have to turn the computer off with the power button and than back on. I have tried waiting 10-15 mins and does not come back on.
