monitor colour

ive recently set up dual monitors, and i have noticed the colour on the old crt im using is not right. it is slightly purple. the vga connector has 1 pin missing, and i think that may be the problem.

it is one of those annoying cables where one end actually goes into the back of the monitor, so i dont think i will be able to replace it.

is there anything i can do about this? i was thinking maybe getting a spare pin from another cable and stuffing it in or something.

Yeah my screen was like that, but it was green... I just opened up the screen took another cable, and re-soldered all the good wires at the right place.
