monitor brightness

hey guys i got this new viewsonic vx2433wm monitor and theres 1 feature that i want to turn off and its the thing that makes the brightness go down when the screen is dark or mostly filled with black and there seems to be no option to set it in the menu. i tried the eco mode thing to standard but it still gets darker so any ideas?

i can't theres only standard optimize and conserve. standard seems to be the default and the brightest setting but when i play gta4 in a tunnel its really dark and its hard to see the railway tracks
