Monitor Adapter

Ok so trying to plug an older model of monitor into a new graphics card.

The socket on the graphics card is different to the monitor connector, I assume that thats just the newer connection, are there any adapters out there?

The monitor connection is smaller and fatter (and blue) compared to the graphics cards longer yellow socket.

Sorry for the vagueness but I completely forgottten the terms for everything.

DVI is a newer digital port whereas VGA goes back years and is analogue, if you're using longer cables then DVI is the way forward
