Mobo help, urgent help

allrighty then, heres the problem.

I plug in my PSU, jump it, it works like it should, and plug it into mobo

Then turn it on

,,,


No fans, no lights no anything

NOTHING

Please help, please...

Dead Machine

In my opinion your main board is dead. Firstly removed everything off the board except CPU and try to start the machine. I mean remove all even graphics card. If the lights come on then start plugging goods back in until it does not start any more. Also PLEASE SHUT DOWN / SWITCH OFF machine in between each hardware change.

If it is still dead then check under the main board for shorts against the case and such. If nothing then take the board out of the case and try powering it up out of case and preferably with another supply.

Using the above guides you will find the problem. I still say main board is dead though.

Also does the mobo start on another rig?

i agree with psyth. the two most likely causes are fried motherboard, or motherboard shorting against the case.
