Exclamation Messed up !!

Hey guys im new here so try your best to understand what im sayin k?

anyway my comp is jacked up about last month I bought a new ram stick for 39.99 now i come to install it i install it so it doesn't detect it so i move some sticks around and then it finds it but then my whole comp doesn't work and the post reporter keeps saying i overclocked the cpu when i didn't and "Memory Test Failed". One time i almost got it but i needed to repair vista which led me to restarting it. (Pretty stupid of me) Here are my specs ( I kno they suck)

Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz S478
3x Kingston DDR 400 1GB (Max 3 slots) ram

nGear 4 (External) USB Ports 1 (Internal)
1x Coolermaster 120mm fan
1x Coolermaster 80mm Fan

Have you tried booting again without the new stick?

And we could understand you a lot better if you used periods .

Why did you buy the new stick of RAM? Sre you sure that the OS isnt jsut jacked not the hardware? Are you sure it isnt the power supply? You gave no idication of what you have done or why you upgraded. We cant help without knowing all the information.

sorry Well I bought the other Stick of ram for 3gb to fill my slots and my comp to be faster in vista and when playing halo 2 vista. Its not the PSU at all cuz its brand new. OS is fine and plus it gets sometimes jacked up vista when u move sticks around and i remember i did a memtest and it kept failing so i moved sticks around then turned it back on and memtest passed. and my cpu btw is at 133/33 as overclocked and thats the default so i tried to load the bios's setup default and it still wont and if i disable quick test it keeps messing up the test then redoing it and then when its done i go to the bios

just took out a stick and the post reporter says "System Failed due to CPU Overclocking" ( Didn't Overclock) and keeps repeating "System Failed Memory Test". Do i need a new stick? are these gone forever? UPDATE: Used a 512 Stick now it doesn't say "System failed due to cpu overclocking" it just says System Failed Memory Test. Do I need new sticks?

Are you taking out the new stick or RAM? Or just a random stick?

Sorry but it doesnt matter if the PSU is brand new if it is under powered. Also I have moved RAM around on Vista many times. I never had a issue....

Just try 1 stick at a time.
