Exclamation Memtest86+

I have a HP pavilion a810n just laying around and I want to give it to my sister as an upgrade from her snail of a computer that shes using now. When I boot up the computer sometimes it gets hung up after the bios screen right before the os loads. It just sits there with a blinking curser in the upper left hand corner and an black screen. I thought I would test the ram with Memtest86+ but when I run the program it tells me "Unexpected Interrupt-Halting CPU0". Pass0%, Test 20%. Any Ideas on to fix this problem with?
