It should just fine. I am a bit confused. what motherboard do you have?

ddr200 = pc-1600 mem clock 100mhz
ddr266 = pc-2100 mem clock 133mhz
ddr333 = pc-2700 mem clock 166mhz
ddr400 = pc-3200 mem clock 200mhz

Just want to check you mother board to make sure but if it is already running pc2700 pc3200 shoud be fine.

When is ddr2 coming out anyways. I may want to upgrade.

back on topic it is a max of 2gb. If you wanted 2gb go with 2 X 1gb sticks for 1gb go with 2 x 512mb.

Memory upgrades, flash media, and usb storage at Crucial.com

Easiest way to check RAM related upgrade questions. That site will scan your system and tell you what you can run and how much per slot.
