Okay, I'm taking this PC Hardware class, which is used to get A+ certified and I've got some questions on an assignment that I'm having trouble with.

How many bits of information does a single cell of a memory chip on a 256 MB PC2700 DDR module hold?

Thanks.

DDR runs @ 128 bit bandwidth. I don't know how much every chip uses so I would guess every one would work at 128 bit or the chips slit the it up.

Oh, I thought you meant the bit as in bandwidth.

every MB = Mb (which is 1/8 a MB)

So like you said 256MB = 256Mb x 8
