Hi, I have a problem with my memory/mobo.
My system is a @"&% compaq prebuild which my parents bought, and i recently upgraded it by putting in a 1600XT and 1Gb of Corsair PC3200.
Spec:
Sempron 3000+ (939)
MSI-7184 (OEM)
1Gb DDR400 Corsair
Ati X1600XT PCI-E
160GB Seagate
The PROBLEM is that checking the boot screen, and then CPU-z, the memory is running not at 200mhz, but at 100mhz (DDR200)!!!!! It is 400, and its dual channel, but DDR so it should run 200, but for some strange reason it is at 100.....
I had an infineon PC3200 512mb in there before running single, and it was running fine at 200mhz.
There is a noticable performance increase from the old to the new, CL3 to CL2, 512 to 1024, but the speed has halved, so im not sure it should be faster?
Plus, i've tried all combinations in the 4 slots, and nothing makes it run at the proper speed.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, as it is beginning to really puzzle me.
