Default Memory failure

when ever i shut down or restart my comptuer everything ive saved music, doc, pictures, everything is lost. ive reformatted my harddrive...done everything i know and nothing worked. whats wrong and what should i do.

run memtest. see my sig for the download. let it run overnight and see if it comes up with errors. If it does, you have bad RAM.
