Default Memory & Bus speed

Hello everyone

when upgrading the memory .. I will be in need to check the Bus speed for sure.

The thing which I need to look for is the type of memory if it is SD or DDR or DDR2.

Incase if the RAM bus speed is faster than my bus will that make any problems ?

as I know the bus speed should be equal to the motherboard bus or higher to get the RAM to work !

is that correct ?

Thanks

The ram bus speed can be lower, equal, or higher then the motherboard bus speed.

The ram will run at the max bus it can handle, run at default, or will down grade to a suitable level of the motherboard.

If you mean 133MHz motherboard bus and 200Mhz ram bus speed, then it still should work. The ram will down grade to 133MHz.
