Default Memory Allocation Error

so here's my problem.

Im trying to Dual boot on my xp machine but when I try to boot up w/ the Linux disk..I get a memory allocation error.

I thought maybe its a burn issue but that wasnt it. Im kinda stuck on what I need to do. Ive searched google and cant seem to find any answers.

Heres a few of the specs of the computer I'm trying this on:

Intel Celeron D 3.46GHZ

Over a gig of ram

160 GB Sata II HD.....I have the HD in 2 partitions. xp/blank

Gforce 7200 video card

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been stuck on this for some time and would love to get this figured out

is this a BSOD or a linux error. if it's a BSOD then you can google the error code it gives you. if it's a linux error then i'm not knowledgeable in that area.

The only thing ATi can render faster than nVidia is the BSOD

Are you using a Linux LiveCD to boot from and try to install with or a straight setup disc? Did you check the MD5 sum of the download to make sure it was all there?
