Hello everyone,
I just bought a new USB External Hard Drive, the Maxtor Personal Storage 3100, 80 Gigs. Now, I think my motherboard wont boot from USB, so is there any way I can get around this (please be specific, I've looked at most of this bootdisk stuff and it's got me so confused!) But I just installed Fedora Core 3 Linux on it, but i can't get it to boot. I go to the boot menu and dont see my drive on there, only the internal C:\ hard drive. I'm running a Dell Dimension 4300S BIOS Revision 2.0
Please help!

As far as I know Windows doesn't support booting from USB devicess. I think with some adjustments to your config.sys file you can do it, though I couldn't tell you how off the top of my head

Your BIOS must support it also
