Main sound level very low

I have an Acer Aspire 5520 notebook, I seem to be having what I think is a problem with the speaker volume. I have adjusted the audio properties to thier max but the volume is still very quiet. is there a way I can change a registry value or something to increase my output to the built in speakers?

I think the best thing you might be able to do is a equalizer application. There is not registry edit that can be done.

i wish I was more tech savvy, I would have thought of this solution myself \but the pc company suggested that I uninstall the sound driver and reinstall it, that worked significantly but I am curious about any equalization software that I can use to boost sound when necessary. Anyone know a good one?
