Not sure if I should post this here or not so apologys if I'm wrong.

I recently reformatted my hard drive as I had a new MB installed. Before I reformatted I had a bout 90gig free on my hard drive of 232gig.

I had a lot of other stuff installed like games etc, I probably had around 10 games installed, plus some music and stuff which I know can eat up hard drive space, but after I reformatted and everything was wiped I ended up with 80gig again out of 232 gig? Just doesn't seem to add up to me and it seems I'm worse off now with no games or music on my pc than with.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using vista 32 and the hard drive is a maxtor 250gig sata2 8mb.

Look in your C: drive.
Can you see a folder called 'Windows.old'
It may contain everything from your old install of Vista.

I found the problem. 105gig was being eaten up from 'windows.old'. Just did a disc clean up and bingo, all sorted.

Thanks for the response.
