Hi there,
I've recently bought my brand new LG W1942S 19" wide screen LCD. Well, it comes with auto-settings and those F-engine thing. The peak resolution is 1440 x 900 @ 60Hz.
Now, I've found some problems with this monitor. At maximum resolution, it flickers, especially when displaying something dark (ie. game loading screen, websites, etc). So, I decided to reduce the resolution to 1280 x 800 @ 75Hz. BUT, the monitor couldn't handle it. The screen got some cut off, and I tried using those "auto-set" feature. Nope, no result. It still got cut off, AND flickering!
What's the problem with it? Well, MAYBE, because I was using an ATi Radeon HD 3850. It's using a DVI port, so I have to use an adapter to use my monitor, which still use a VGA port (right? that blue connector thing). Could this be the problem? If so, how to fix it???? Thanks!
