My Samsung 245b began exhibiting vertical lines as if it were in "vertical interlace mode" or something, don't even know if such a thing exists, but imagine TV interlacing, except vertically rather than horizontally. The lines appear dimmer than the lines that are displaying correctly.

Note: the lines are not randomly placed, as you would expect, nor do they look like lines that usually appear on LCD monitors. They really, honest to goodness, look like vertical interlacing up close.

Also, the color depth appears as if it's set to 8-bit (it is not).

Turning it on/off, changing refresh rate, resolution and color depth, restarting the computer, switching DVI ports - did not help.

My other monitor does not display these errors when connected to the same computer, leading me to the conclusion that the monitor has a hardware problem.

Unless there's a setting in the menus that got switched somehow (monitor menus display the same vertical lines, by the way), I'm guessing there's no real solution?
