Laptop problem, please help

Ok, so i got an HP Pavillion, ZV5000. It's a few years old, and with the kids around, it has had it tumbles. Recently it wont turn on. I hit the power button and the charging light blinks three times. I removed the RAM, no help. Cant really tell whats wrong with it. Are there light codes? please let me know.

P.S. I was working hours before, and had not fallen or anythign between wen it was working and wen it stopped.

on the battery there should be a battery power level lights indicating the power thats left in the battery, there should be a button to press and see the level, have a look at that

i'd first pull out the battery and then plug in the AC power to the laptop and see if it powers on
