Default Laptop Problem

I rencently tryed to reinstall Windows XP on my other laptop. I was trying to start fresh with it and completly delete everything on it. I used the XP CD to reinstall and I got a few messages throughout installing saying a few certain files were missing. It finished and everything I had was still on there, I wanted it to be completly flushed out and my keyboard doesn't work. I tryed to reinstall my keyboard but it says I need to show the location of a certain file which I can't find.

Can anyone help me, completly clean my laptop and make the keyboard work again?

Thanks!

I replied to your other post. Try and keep it in that one to avoid confusion.

what where the files names that where missing durring installation?
Also try to run a repair on xp. see if it finds the missing files, more then likely a .dll file related to the drivers or cabs.
