Laptop not working

Okay hi... not 6 hours ago i was using my laptop... folded it up put it away for the night. Got to work this morning and now it does not work.

The light turns on but there is no activity. There is no sound that anything is even doing anything inside.... does that mean the motherboard is blown and I'm SOL?

Any help is much appreciated.

Not sure how old probably 2 or 3 years? i don't even remmeber what processor... amd athlon 64 something.... ATI 9600 mobile...

its probably not worth getting repaired
as much as this pains me take it to geek squad that will be like 160 for the repair

160 and having it work is much better to me then paying another 1000+ for a new laptop.
