Hi,
I'm using the G40 IBM laptop with Windows XP Home Service pack 2 installed. I've managed to plugin my ps/2 keyboard into my mouse jack and use it as a keyboard. As weird as this may sound, it actually worked. However, when I unplugged it from the laptop and restarted it, the original keyboard that was built into my laptop started going weird. When I pushed keys like "o,p"...etc on the built-in keyboard, it displayed characters such as "* , 5, 6".etc instead of it's actual keys. I've tried to uninstall and boot up windows XP so it will auto-detect my keyboard but it's not working. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
Note: I do not have any CDs with me.
