Default Laptop Instant Power down when lid closed

Hi, I recently got a HP DV6525, Running Vista home premium...

I have the power options set to "Do Nothing" when i close the lid for both Mains and battery power .. However, when i close the lid, he system Instantly powers down, you can hear the hard drive spin down aswell ..

Also, when the system is properly shut down, When i close the lid, it sounds like it powers up for a few seconds, then powers down again.

This means that every time i boot up my laptop, I get the "Windows was not shut down correctly" message and get the Boot Options screen (safe mode, Windows Normal etc)

Ive heard this has happened on other HP DV6 Laptops ...

Any suggestions ? Ive searched google for ages and nothing ..

Thanks .. thunder tiger
