Hi, I have a new laptop with a model Asus i7 KV55 with windows 8 OS...
It works all great but when I connect to my Wifi-stick,
It drains the battery of the Wifi-stick very quickly and will eventually turn off.
My Wifi stick only lasts 10-15 mins when my new laptop is connected to it.
My wifi stick is connected to my laptop in my USB 2.0.
I tried connecting it in the USB 3.0 but I think the cable of my wifi only supports 2.0 so I get same results I think maybe even worse.
I turned my wireless connection connection as "metered mode" and all it does is last a little bit.
Which sucks is that my Wifi-stick can connect to my old laptop (Acer travelmate 2420) for a whole day without its battery dying.

Any tips where maybe I can lower my wireless network adapter's power consumption or anything?

What kind of device are you referring to when you say 'Wifi stick'? To my knowledge there are no battery-powered ones, as that would silly since you're always connecting it to a powered device over a powered bus.
