laptop battery suddenly doesn't charge

It just sits at 0.0%..
chances are is it the battery itself, or the laptop's motherboard's ability to charge the battery that's fried?

I don't have the $500 to send it in to hp and have them Overcharge for fixing it.

hopefullyone of you guys knows a way to see wether it's the mobo's capaciters that died or just the battery flopped without spending $200 for this overpriced HP battery or a new $400 laptop board

PS.. I hate the propritary bull**** costs of laptop parts :/

this happened to me, you need a new battery, you used it so much to 0% before you charged it that its empty and it wont charge back up

It's probolly something different like a dirty connection. And pzerofgh what happened to you where they take no charge at all doesnt happen much anymore with NiMh or Li battery's which all current laptop's use
