Default Laptop - 2nd Screen

Im thinking of getting a TFT monitor to use with my laptop -


if i plug in a 2nd screen, will the screen attaced to the laptop sill be on, or will it go black?

It all depends what type of video card you have in your notebook.
look at your vidoe props
type in the run box desk.cpl
hit enter
click properties , what do you see?

usually though, yes one will go off when the other goes on unless connecting through an AV port,,, i did say usually so try with a monitor. Some notebooks , especially older ones you have to set which monitor in the bios.
