keyboard Problem

I had to restore my computer the other day and when i came to use the keyboard some keys were swapping functions.

E.g.

Where you would normally press @ it is swapped with " and various other wierd swapped functions.

Does anyone understand what i mean, and can anyone help me?

Yea, but why didn't you just change your keyboard layout in control panel?

Hello,

Go to:

1. Start...
2. Control Panel
3. Regional and Language Options...
4. Click on the Languages Tab...
5. Make sure that EN English (United Kingdom) exists in installed services, and is the default.
6. Click on the Details... Button...
7. Click Add on the right, choose United Kingdom as the input language...
8. Check the Keyboard Layout/IME box and then in the dropdown list, select United Kingdom.
9. Click OK.
10. Back in the Text Services and Input Languages window, delete any other keyboard languages except for United Kingdom.
11. Apply then OK[/list=1]
    Now test your keyboard.
