Ok, if i had a new pc i build for someone and he tells me that when he shuts off his PC that his mouse and keyboard don't turn off is there a way to fix that? His board is GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L. If anyone has any ideas let me know plz.

As in the USB laser on the mouse and the num of function light ups on the keyboard?

The keyboard function lights should stay on, at least with mine they do.

As for the mouse, look for a bios flash or try different USB ports.

What kind f keyboard? USB, PS/2? What kind of mouse? Optical, Laser, ball? Need a bit of info here.

I think some motherboards go into a standby mode when the computer is turn off but still use a little bit of power. If you flick the PSU switch off then it will turn completely off. Not sure if that solves your problem though.

I'll check it out, i don't live near my brother and i am just trying to get an idea on how i can fix it for him next time i go into town. But ill download a digital of his mobo manual. If all else fails ill buy usb converters to his 6pin connections and see if that fixes the problem.
