Keyboard help

I think this is the right place to put this. I have a laptop that has a number pad. For some reason, usually after I turn my computer on from hibernation/sleep, the delete key will go off and delete stuff and/or the decimal on the number pad will go off and insert periods everywhere.

I have no idea what started this. I did spill something on my laptop forever ago but I cleaned it and that was that. I cleaned my laptop again to see if that would help and it seemed like it did but I think I might be confusing cause with effect.

It drives me crazy. And it is only those two buttons. The decimal is kind of any easy fix because I just turn num lock off but I don't want to keep doing that because I like using the number pad.

Any advice would be helpful. If I turn my laptop off and turn it back on it for some reason won't do it.

Have you turned the laptop upside down, while off, and used a can of compressed air to make sure nothing is stuck under the keys?
