this is a very very strange problem... i CAN get into the cmos and i can change/edit everything no problem. the keyboard works only in that instance.
however, if i hold down the key to give me the option to boot into safe mode, it will work, then when it gets to the screen where it wants me to choose either boot into safe mode or boot regularly - my keyboard is powered off/doesnt work and it times out and loads windows normally.
also if i put in my windows xp startup cd, and it gives me the boot up screen/timeout clock, it iwll not let me use the arrow keys to choose an option.
its a regular logitech usb keyboard. i have an amd athalon 2600+ cpu and abit kd7a keyboard i believe.
please help quick its important!!!

integrated peripherals-onchip pci device-usb device settings-
and change keyboard and mouse to load at bios, not OS.
