Kensington Wireless mouse problems for laptop

i've been using this same kensington mouse for about 1 year with no problems.
now all of a sudden, it just doesnt work
my laptop doesnt even to appear to detect it. i cant find it in devices or anything/
this just happened out of the blue, it worked perfectly fine just a day ago.
i have tried changing the batteries, but it still doesnt work.
anyone know how i can fix this?

Does it detect the Wireless USB adapter? Take a look in Device Manager.

What model do you have?

Edit: Does it work in another computer? Also what OS are you running?
