Question Jumpers?

ok i took this jumper thing off this 3 pin thing in my motherboard and apparently i cannot make any changes in bios (system passwords) without the jumper back in..

can this be overriden?

P4 HT 3.0 Ghz
2x512 Samsung Memory

nope, gotta put the jumper on the default pins to get it to work.

ditto. its a "security" feature from Intel, it does have its merits. i presume it was to stop people from messing with computers that are in public use e.g. library terminals.
