Default Itunes burning problem

I'm trying to burn a disk in Itunes, and it keeps giveing me an error, saying that the selected burning speed is to fast for the media or computor, but I set the speed at 8x and i'm useing 52x disks. I set my drive (a sony CRX216E) to 47X, then at fastest possable. it still is giveing me this error. Can anyone help?
