Default Issue with Lexar JD Firefly usb device

I have an extremely annoying problem that I need help with. I work in a primary school that has bought several new toshiba laptops with Windows 7. We also have several Lexar memory usb sticks, one per teacher. These have been working perfectly well with all pcs and laptops up to now and continue to do so except for the new laptops. With the new laptops, they work sometimes and might work for ten minutes, then stop working. By stop working I mean it keeps connecting and disconnecting and basically I can't read it. Sometimes when I re-boot it works fine again for a while and then stops again. I have tried on other laptops including Windows 7 laptops and it works with no issues. So, the memory stick works fine. Oh and one more thing, I have tried two more types of memory sticks with the Toshiba laptops and they work fine. Please give any suggestions as to what I should do.

Copy everything off the memory sticks with issues, then format the memory sticks, put everything back on. Try it with just the one, first, to see if it helps at all.
