Open it up an try an reconnecting all the wire's firmly when you took it apart you may have loosened it some how, or you may have dammaged it in some other way can you post a pic of it?

Sorry for not mentioning it but I already took it appart and put it back together.

I would take a pic but whats the use? It looks fine and I was extremely careful.
I used a guide to look at to take it apart and put it back together.

yes if you spilled solder on any part of the board an cause a short.

is that the only way? I think I fried the board but I didn't spill solder anywhere. I had the soldering gun on the motherboard till the wire got under the solder and the motherboard turned a little black around there. I took a cloth and the blackness just wiped right off and the motherboard looks fine now but why isn't the ipod working?

I really need this thing fixed so please help me out here. I can't spend anymore money on this cause I just found out I have $3,000 less then What I was expecting to have in my bank account.
