Default Invalid Syntax error IE

When i try to get into google or yahoo or most webpages i get an error page coming up and invalid syntax error in the top blue section.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I also could not download the latest java because the security section would not allow it.

I have checked in the internet options and security is set to medium and file downloads is enabled.

Thanks in advance.

Well, This is a computer hardware thread, your hardware is fine...

try downloading "hijack this". if you dont know how to use it, DON'T delete anything with it. post the log file so someone who knows what it means can tell you what is safe to delete. deleting the wrong things can destroy IE or some programs that need services to run at start up.

post the log. thats the first step
