Internet problems

The internet on my newly built pc is not working. I have one other computer hooked up to the modem and it works, so i know the modem works ok. When u plug in the internet cable the small green light flashes, and the windows alert will flash "Lan line is unplugges".

Any1 have any suggestions?

when you plug in the cable, windows says you have unplugged it?
thats weird

update driver, repair your local connection
