I started having very laggy gameplay (albeit great ping) and frequent connection interuptions some time ago and not finding any of the usual suspects I used it as an excuse to upgrade every component except the power supply.
I now have,
A7N8X deluxe
768 ram
amd athlon 2400+
GeForce FX 5500
40 gig hdd
fresh install win xp sp2
10/100/1000 network adapter
same comcast cable internet
bios, drivers, updates etc. all current
all this and gamepley has not improved at all.
web surfing IS very fast and I have "Great" connectivity according to comcast.
I did not change the 300 watt power supply because all the voltage readings were spot on. Could the power supply be the cause?
