Default Intel 945gnt

our company bought 30 systemax pcs with windows XP. As per policy we reimage them to WIN2K with default apps. The new system has a diferent MOBO (Intel 945GNT) then previously used so the drivers needed to be updated. The Audio driver which is suposed to be Sigmatel HD(so say Intel and systemax). Running the executable errors out saying Object device not found, but the device manager says everything is ok. Yet none of the PCs play audio. Running AIDA32 and DriverGuide came up with Aziza device which the same thing and the driver is not reconized. Any sugestions??

go to control panel, and in "sounds" check if they are set as the default audio controller
