Installing two sata drives non raid

I have the following specs:

ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe AM2 NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Windsor 2.6GHz Socket AM2 89W Dual-Core Processor
Western Digital Raptor WD1500ADFD 150GB 10000 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s Hard Drive
Windows XP Pro SP1

I have bought a seagate 500gig 7200RPM 32mb cache

I hooked up my WD 10,000 RPM drive to SATA 1(my main drive with windows XP), and have tried installing the seagate 7200 drive in sata 3, and 6. The harddrive is shown in bios, but not in windows. I figured when i got into windows I could format the drive, but it isnt even in "my computer". What should I do?

Does the drive show up in Disk Management? You'll need to partition and format the drive before it shows up in My computer.

Kurrent is right. The drive will not show up under My Computer cause Windows doesnt recognize RAW format which a drive is in until you format it. Either try to use Disk Management or format it with GParted LiveCD before you even go into Windows.
