This should have been simple. I have a 160GB drive in my system (Athlon 64, ASUS K8N, 1GB RAM) and I wanted to change it to a 300GB. Both are IDE (not SATA) drives, both are Seagate. I used Seagate's Disk Wizard program to copy one to the other to make the 300 the boot drive, leaving the 160 as a data drive. The program ran fine, but the the 300 simply won't boot. I tried using both IDE channels to do the copy (instead of cable select on the same channel), tried both drives on the same channel, etc. After the copy, there is about 600K on the 160 that has not been copied to the 300. Is this the boot data? What programs can I use instead of the Seagate program?

I've done this plenty of times before and never had this problem. Seagate tech support is working on the problem but has not been able to solve it. Any help appreciate.
