Default Incorrect time shown again!!

The time in my computer changes all the time.. why?? is it a battery issue? ( should i buy a new one? ) i have to reset the time at least twice a week. i reset it also in the BIOS but it still changing. i am tired of this issue.
ah and by the way how long does a PC battery last?

I've never had a CMOS battery fail on me, so no clue on that one. What is your timezone set to, in Windows (or what ever OS)? That'll keep changing it, as long as you have it automatically synced.

What he said ^. If it's synced then it's that what causes the time to change; but you stated changing it in the BIOS and not seeming to save the settings...so it has a possibility your CMOS battery is failing.

Edit: This may be of some help http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000239.htm.

Yup, usually those thing don't fail in a short period of time...for extended periods however, it can be a cause.
