Default IMAC Boot Problem

Hi there, I'm having a problem with my Imac, when ever I boot it up, it stays at 3 half of the way, goes up a little bit, then reboots it self. DO NOT TELL ME TO GOTO THE NEAREST ELECTRONIC REPAIR SHOP! I have tryed going into recovery mode but, it does the same thing. I tryed downloading the os with Command option R but it did not work. I have tryed all possible boot up tricks, I got to the Console and tryed doing the rm var/db/.applesetupdone but it said "no such file or directory". So at this point, I am stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You'll likely need to mount the volume first:

mount -uw /
touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
