Mid to high 40s and 50+C with a good load is mainly what you would expect to see when having a stock hsf on. What actually helps keeping temps down however is not just a good 3rd party cpu cooler but good air flow to keep the board itself and other hardwares like drives cooler since that will effect how warm the cpu runs.
