Hello brand new here! Anyway I have this IBM x-20 laptop and I have an LCD that looks to be in great condition. I attatched it to a working base. No dead mobo, cpu, ram, KEYBOARD, etc. I press power on and nothing happens. Nothing I get no power. I swapped the lcd with another lcd and it works fine and gets power. I tried the possibly broken LCD on another working base and it does the same thing and the system gets no power. Im really curious as to why this happens. I cant find an answer on the web. If possible I'd like to fix the LCD because they're pretty expensive any ideas on how I could fix it?

Possibly a bad or loose inverter? I don't have much experience replacing or fixing those, but if it's just a loose connection somewhere around the inverter, that could be causing the problem and is also fixable by reseating the connections. It's a little tricky and easy to screw up and break something, though, I wouldn't chance it if you dont have steady hands.
