So recently my computer has started acting slower when it comes to playing games. A good example is a game like Minecraft that used to run as smooth as can be, but now stutters every few seconds. I've noticed this in other games but the stuttering isn't as frequent as Minecraft.

I have also tried overclocking before all this and I've had a few computer crashes.

I'm fairly certain my problem is within the CPU. And I'm wandering if I can take it somewhere to get it fixed or if there is a way I can fix it at home or if I'm better off buying a new one

Processor: AMD Phenom II

Run the Intel Burn In Test to see how stable your CPU is. If for some reason it doesn't work, you can try something like Prime95 to stress test it as well.

You can't fix a CPU if its bad; you'd just have to get a new one.
