HP Scanjet 4370 buttos problem

I've just bought a new scanner: HP Scanjet 4370. And I already have a problem! Front panel buttons don't work! Otherwise, it works just fine.

Can anyone please help me?

I took it back to the shop. They've installed it's software on their computer, and it worked perfectly!

Probably some settings in my windows aren't the way they should be, and it would work if I change them. But, where should I start?

p.s. IÂ’m using Windows XP SP2
